🚨 Book 6 of the Civil Code: a real change for self-employed workers? 

Book 6 of the Civil Code, which came into force on January 1, 2025abolished the prohibition of concurrence between contractual and extra-contractual liability, and abolished the quasi-immunity of enforcement agents. 

In concrete terms, this means that may choose to take direct action against the independent contractor. an architectural or design office. 

The response from insurance companies was swift, and a new product arrived on the market: Police collaborateur. 

However, as a self-employed worker, you are covered by the policy taken out by the office for professional activities carried out in its name and on its behalf. 

But what's the point of such a policy? 

👉 The Collaborateur policy can be useful in a number of specific situations, including : 

• For your specific missions ; 

• In case of exceeding the intervention ceiling in the office font ; 

• In case of refusal to intervene insurance under the policy taken out by the office, due to : 

• failure to declare a building site; 

• under-reporting; 

• policy suspension for non-payment ; 

• cancellation of the policy.
